May flowers, wheat and little else

The winds are blowing too much and the plants are suffering for it. But my neighbor's wheat loves every bit of it!

The winds have been terrible this season and my melon plants are barely creeping.


The annual rye grass has provided some wind relief and weed control but Mother Nature hasn't been gracious.


The daylillies are blooming and offer a pleasing backdrop to my melon patch. Life goes on......


The wheat growing at my front door is quickly maturing.


It won't be long before the scury of farmers begin their harvest.


My neighbor's massive combine sits ready waiting to gobble up the tiny golden grain that abounds over hundreds of acres.
