The seeds are sprouting
I'm getting the seeds ready for another year's growing season. The sire of a champion goes into battle this year!

My crude but very reliable germination box is making its debut yet another season. The colored toothpicks indicate what seed is being germed in each cup.

Hint.....the master, Bill Carson, current world record holder of giant watermelon growing, is making his presence felt in my field........ Does the number 262 on the pie plate get anyone interested????

It takes some very high temperature to awaken seeds that have been cryogenically suspended for 14 years!!!

Do you believe in miracles? Whenever I see the first sprout I know life goes on.........and it's a wonderful gift.

My rye grass cover crop has just received it's first trimming and lays waiting for me to transform it into a bountiful oasis.

New sprinkler nozzles were acquired over the winter that will provide my plants with abundant H20 when the heat sets in. The excitement grows!!! |
