Hot weather finally arrives

June hasn't been all that warm in the Missouri bootheel...until now!

The hot Missouri weather has finally arrived. Maybe now we can start to see some melons appear on the vines.


With the hot weather firmly in place, the dripper system begins it's workout...one drop at a time!


Here's a poorly shaped melon that is almost doubling in size daily. It's the only melon in the field right now.


These two pictures were taken only four days apart.


My neighbor has set up an acre of daylilies temporarily in my backyard. What a beautiful site greeting me every morning.


There's 30,000 one gallon pots and 110,000 liners in full bloom!


Here's another thought for the week......Some minds are like concrete. Thoroughly mixed up and permanently set! Do you know anyone like this?
