The weather takes its toll on the patch again this year. A bird makes a quick visit to the MelonMan's house and he asks age-old questions...

My plants have taken a severe beating from all the hail, wind and rain this season. Miraculously they are trying to reproduce in spite of the damage.


This is one of the first ovaries to appear on such a scrawny plant.


A surprise visit inside my house by a chimney swift leads to a hilarious catch and release effort that ends in success for both!


Here's another view of the little swifty...


An old saying came to mind recently....." The apple doesn't fall far from the tree."


How true old sayings came be sometimes!


I wonder???? Am I "outstanding in my field?"
