Oh, Hail!
Mother Nature sends hail stones our way and causes lots of problems.

Mother Nature strikes swift and hard with golf ball size hail stones devastating everything in its path. The storm blew in at 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday night with a vengeance.
In addition to the hail, several small tornado's touched down within a few miles of the melon patch. The sound was deafening as the ice pounded our home and deck.
Luckily, there was no major damage to our house. Unfortunately, the melon plants and our garden didn't escape as well.
The Quonset huts were no match for the falling ice bombs. The melon plants also suffered extensive damage. Almost all of the main leaders were amputated by the frozen tears of Mother Nature.
As the old saying goes, "If it doesn't kill you it's sure to make you stronger". We can only hope that this holds true for our plants.
This has been a major set back but we never surrender!
Fortunately, the baby Robins living by our front door chirped as we passed by their home letting us know they survived. Stay tuned for more information. |
