The snakes and the bees

You've seen the spider, now see the snake and bees. Plus, the weather gives the patch a beating.

Bob Hunsaker from Dexter, Missouri is a very talented Master Gardener and has his plants going strong early in the season. How 'bout that nice shaped 182 pound giant!

There's alway's excitement to be found in or near the melon patch if you keep a close watch!

I'll be sure to watch my step once the lush canopy cover's the earth providing ample cover for more "no shoulder's".

More excitement! One of my beehives swarmed and gathered on a maple tree on the south side of the patch.

These close-ups provided me with a stinging good time. :-)

You have to develop a tough spirit living here in tornado alley. Three hail storms and three tornados have devestated the tender plants again.

I live by the words of John Paul Jones.... "Surrender??? Hell!!!! I've just begun to fight!!!"
